Carter is recognized as one of the Houston area top hitting
instructors, with students from all of the area leading
programs. Drawing on over 20 years of Coaching and playing
experience, including professional experience with the St. Louis
Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, and Houston Astros, Coach Carter
develops a fundamentally sound, situationally aware, skill
prepared approach to hitting and fielding. Coach Carter leads our staff of
professional coaches, all of whom have achieved success at the
Professional or Collegiate ranks.

Williams is known as one of the area leading pitching coaches.
Using his 14 years of professional baseball pitching experience
(including 8 years at the major league level with the Houston
Astros, Chicago White Sox, and Detroit Tigers), Coach shares his
expertise in developing pitching mechanics and a sound mental

Coach
Hudek has known success at all levels of baseball play,
including a Div. II College World Series Championship in 1988
and a MLB All-Star appearance for the Astros in 1994 (6 years in
the majors). He is now known for his outstanding instructional
approach helping to develop several very successful Youth
League, High School, College, and Professional pitchers. Coach
works to develop strong underlying mechanics, relevant pitching
skills, and an energetic attack approach to hitters. See

Yelding

Yelding was the 19th player taken in the 1984 MLB player draft,
and was known during his playing days for his outstanding base
running (he once stole 64 bases in an MLB season), great hands, and great
fielding. Coach Yelding is an outstanding instructor in these

Willie Ansley

Coach Ansley was selected by
the Houston Astros in the first round of the 1988 Amateur Draft
(7th overall.) He turned down a football scholarship at
the University of Oklahoma to sign with the Astros, and played
in the Minor Leagues through 1995. Coach Ansley was
named a "Top Prospect" in 1990 MLB (#38),1991 MLB (#96), and
1992 Hou (#8.) |

Knox -

Coach Knox enjoyed a successful college baseball career
beginning at Galveston College (2001 - 2003) where he was first
team second baseman. He was also named to the Second Team
All Star Conference in his Senior Year at Southern University
(2003 - 2005.) Coach Knox attended Alief Elsik High School
where he was a three year letterman. |

Derek David -
HItting/Outfield Coach

Derek David began at
BF Terry High school in Rosenberg, Texas. After a three
year successful varsity career, he attended Western Texas Junior
College, where he was an all-conference performer.
Derek then found his home at
McMurry University. He played there for three years and achieved
the following:
- 2008 NCAA D3 National Player of
the Year
- 5-time NCAA All-American
- Three time American Southwest Conference first team
- Single season ASC record holder for HR, RBI, and runs scored
- HR in NCAA record 7 consecutive games
Derek was featured in Sports
Illustrated Magazine in 2008.
He went on to play professionally
for the River City Rascals and the Brockton Rox.
After his professional career,
Derek returned to McMurry and graduated with a Bachelor's of
Science in Biochemistry. He is currently enrolled in the Texas
Southern University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to
pursue a career in pharmacy. His love for the game is
still strong, and he gives hitting lessons at Extreme Sports in
Rosenberg, Texas. |
Trenton David -
Catching/Hitting Coach

Coach David is a former
McMurry University Pitcher and Catcher (2006-2008).
Along with years of coaching experience, Coach David
brings to the table an extensive knowledge about
pitching and catching mechanics, philosophy, and
game management techniques that allow players to
take control of situations and to control the
outcome.

Brad Koenig -

Brad Koenig began his
career at Stephen F. Austin High School where he was
a 3 year Letterman. After a successful high school
career, he attended Houston Baptist University where
he helped lead the Huskies to 2 Red River Athletic
Conference titles. Brad posted a 1.93 ERA during his
Freshman year at HBU which currently stands 3rd all
time for the lowest single season ERA. Brad went on
to play professionally for the Coastal Bend Aviators
of the former Central Baseball League.

Kevin Crabtree -

Kevin Crabtree attended Dulles High School
where he was a starting outfielder for 3 years graduating in
2003. He then continued his career to Temple Junior
College where he started 2 years in the outfield and led his
team to 2 Regional Tournament appearances. He earned a
starting outfield spot at Stephen F. Austin State
University in 2007 and 2008 where he achieved the
following:
First team All-Southland Conference selection
in 2008, three-time SLC Hitter of the Week in 2008 including
back-to-back weeks, Crabtree was in the top 10 of nine
offensive categories in the SLC, team-best and career-best
17 game hit streak, led team in nearly every offensive
category, set school single-season record with 18 doubles,
had 6 home runs in 8 games in 2008, and finished with a .362
batting average that ranks second all-time at SFA. Kevin
graduated from SFA with a Bachelor’s in Business
Administration with an emphasis in Sports Marketing and is
pursuing a career in personal training.
