Welcome to the Texans

Players interested in participating in The Fort Bend Texans 18U Summer Baseball program are invited to tryout on Sunday April 30, 2006 at John Hudek's Baseball Academy in Sugar Land beginning at 6pm.  Players who participated in the April 23rd tryout do not need to attend this session.

The Texans will be fielding 2 Teams in the 18U division, playing Showcase Tournaments throughout the Houston and East Texas Area featuring games at Sam Houston State, Angelina Junior College, UTSA, and LSU. The Teams will again be coached by our professional coaching staff, joined this year by former Cincinnati Red, and HBU and Okalahoma State standout Kyle Smith.

Players should wear practice gear (bat, glove, cleats, sneakers for cages) and the tryout will consist of throwing, fielding, pitching, and hitting drills. Players will also be timed in a 60yd sprint. No fee or deposit will be necessary to tryout, and players will also complete a player information form.

We are also fielding 2 Teams in the 16U division, playing a mix of a showcase and a competitive select tournament schedule.

Please Note:  Players who were unable to make the 16U and 18U tryouts should contact Coach Carter or Coach Smith (position players) or Coach Williams (pure Pitchers) immediately and schedule a private lesson (cost involved) to complete a tryout.

 

Interested players should email the Texans at GM@FortBendTexans.com with contact information (name, birth date, phone) and complete a player information form.
