    Spring/Summer Program Details

The Fort Bend Texans program is designed to develop and prepare each individual ballplayer with fundamentals and mechanics in hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching and base running.  As a Christian organization, we also emphasize development of life skills required to succeed both on the baseball field and in the field of life.  The Fort Bend Texans is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and we gratefully accept donations to support our scholarship & outreach program.

The spring/summer program begins with 5-weeks of Spring Training and transitions to the Tournament Season in late February.  The Spring Training portion includes 5 weeks of Speed & Agility Training with Coach Courtney Hawkins (Mondays) and Fielding/Hitting practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  One weekly practice will be held indoors at Extreme Cages in Rosenberg (day will vary depending upon the weather.)  There are no events scheduled on weekends during Spring Training but may be added for bad weather makeups.

The Ultimate Hitting Program at Extreme Sports Cages is now included in the season fees for all Fort Bend Texans Lower Division players.  All current season players receive two 30-minute cage sessions weekly pending cage availability.  Please call Extreme directly at (832) 595-8833 to reserve your cage time.

Tournament season begins late February and has been extended to the end of August for the adjusted 2020 post-COVID19 season.
